Behavioral Healthcare Facility Completed in New York

A state-of-the-art, new behavioral healthcare facility has been completed in New York.

The facility is a new (25) bed inpatient psychiatric facility. It was a gut rehabilitation involving all new architectural work as well as all new mechanical/electrical infrastructure. Services provided included behavioral healthcare programming, behavioral healthcare design, behavioral healthcare architecture, and behavioral healthcare furniture and fixture specification,

The architect-of-record was Bernstein and Associates, Architects, with James Hunt and the Behavioral Healthcare Architecture Group providing programmatic and design consulting.

The project was well received by the hospital, state and local agencies, and was published in two separate articles in Health Facilities Management:  http://www.hfmmagazine.com/display/HFM-news-article.dhtml?dcrPath=/templatedata/HF_Common/NewsArticle/data/HFM/Magazine/2015/Jan/compliance-design-guidelines-behavioral-health and a cover story http://www.hfmmagazine.com/display/HFM-news-article.dhtml?dcrPath=/templatedata/HF_Common/NewsArticle/data/HFM/Magazine/2015/Jun/behavioral-health-care-open-design
